What is the RoHS standard?
RoHS stands for Restriction of hazardous substances directive in electrical and electronic equipment 2002/95/EC, is a Directive on the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, adopted by the European Union in October February 2003 and entered into force on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and become law in each Member State.
RoHS standards are issued to protect people and the environment from harmful substances in electrical and electronic products.
